Hey, it’s Mark here. And in this video, I’m going to share with you how to lose weight in a pandemic. And you know what the answer is? It’s so simple. You lose weight the same way without a pandemic. Being in a pandemic does not affect your weight loss journey. It doesn’t affect your health and fitness goals. If anything, it helps you because it makes you aware. If you’ve been struggling to lose weight for a while, ask yourself, why? What have you actually done?
And I’m going to tell you, I’m going to give it to you straight, you need to take responsibility for your own actions. Now, I’m not saying that you haven’t been through crap. I’m not saying that you don’t have reasons why you haven’t achieved your goals. But what I am saying is if you want to achieve your goals faster, you need to start taking responsibility for your own results now.
If you want to achieve your health and fitness goals, do it regardless of the circumstances, do it regardless of the situation. Because I’m telling you now, there are people that have accomplished that in the past, that no matter the circumstances, no matter their “reasons” for not getting what they want, they still have found a way to achieve their goal.
So what is this pandemic have to do with your weight loss goal? Maybe it’s the money. Maybe it’s the time. Maybe it is fear. Maybe it is fear of getting the virus. Maybe it is fear of whatever it is, right? But you need to take responsibility for what’s going on up here. You need to take responsibility. Figure out what is holding you back. What does that take though? It takes being self-aware, being aware of your own thoughts, being aware of your own emotion. Working out in the gym will increase that skill. And I say skill because it is a skill. Being self-aware is a skill.
When you exercise or whatever exercise you do, to get the most result, you need to be aware of what’s going on in your body. What’s gone on in your mind. That’s self-awareness. And so the next time something holds you back from achieving your weight loss goal, achieving your health and fitness goal, ask yourself, what’s holding me back? What am I thinking? What am I feeling? Figure out what the problem is and then come up with a solution. Don’t let anything hold you back because there’s always a solution. If someone has done it in the past, if someone has done what you’re looking to do, it has been done. And therefore, there’s a way, regardless of circumstance, regardless of the situation.
A lot of clients come and see me to lose weight and to gain muscle and to build their strength. You know what my job is? My job is to make them self-aware. My job is to get them to become aware of things that they may not have been aware of before. My job is to ask them questions, to trigger their thinking into coming up with their own solutions. To get them to become aware of what’s actually holding you back. We live in a day and age where things, it’s pretty much brainwashing. You need to become self-aware and think on your own terms. Being able to think by yourself, being responsible for your own thinking, oh, well, you have to be in control of your own mind now. Well, it’s true. It’s true.
Look, I don’t know your situation. I don’t know your circumstances. But you’re watching this video and if you’re still watching this video up until now, then it means that you’re on the right track. You’re on the right track to achieving your goal. You’re on the right track to believing that you can do it. And that’s what I want for you. I want you to pretend that you can achieve your goal. I want you to pretend that you can do whatever it takes. And you will do whatever it takes.
